Country of origin: Costa Rica- Resides: Bergen, Norway
- Medium of work: Photography, Video, Installation
I was born in San José, Costa Rica, in december 1980. In january 2007 I moved to Bergen, Norway. That same year, I started studying Art at KHiB (Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen).
For a while now I have been exploring different aspects of communication, distance, and identity. Who we are is to a large degree defined by who we are with, and how we communicate with them. Everything is interpreted in the context of where we are, and will always be a product of the subjective views of the eye of the beholder. I work with my close surroundings in a very “hand-made” way. Currently, I am working on a series of short videos that express a feeling or a moment in my life that I hope will help me understand where I am going and what I want to become. I use video because I can interact better with the camera that way. I can use gesture and sound as part of the components.
